Awesome weekend of racing Boyd and his sis sharnee both doing well... Sharnee got 2nd in the 13yr girls.

Boydo 1st in 16yr boys and was stoked to make it to the PRO MEN final, in the jam packed semi finals boyd was in the right spot at the right time into the first turn to allow him to avoid the carnage and scoot through to 3rd taking him into the finals...

3 final finals were run this weekend in PRO MEN and this is how boydo faired....

final 1 - placed 7th
final 2 - placed 4th
final 3 - placed 5th

Giving him 6th place overall...

Well done boydo...

2011 Queensland Country Championships - Maryborough (July)

Great weekend of Racing at the 2011 Qld Country titles.... Boyd 1st in 16yr boys and raced some great heats in the pro men to put him comfortably into the pro men final.... pro men final he finnished 4th and very happy :)

KING OF DIRT

Had boyds bike all ready with some complete new wheels from Wall To Wally Cycles in Bundy and the whole family headed off to Brisvegas for the weekend... got there saturday afternoon for Boydo to have a look at the jumps and luckily he even got a quick ride in on them.... and by luckily i mean very lucky coz the whole event got cancelled on Sunday as the rain overnight destroyed them.  here's a few pics and click on Boyds facebook link below to see him not make it over the 2nd jump :)

so on the BMX front it has been a coupla good months of racing...

Rocky BMX - 1st in age and 2nd in Pro Men

Central Queensland Titles in Bundy - 1st in age and 5th in Pro Men after a 3 final final will post links to the 3 finals soon in which you will see Boydo crash in the 3rd final....

Maryborough Classic - 1st in age and a 5th again in Pro Men... winning some nice prize money lately and loving it. will have link to this final up soon too.

BMX events coming up soon -

• Queensland Country Championships in Maryborough 2nd & 3rd of July
• Bundaberg Canetoad Classic 9th & 10th July
• Gladstone Mother of all Motos 13th & 14th August
• CQ Zone Training camp in Aug sometime
• Queensland State Age Titles held in Bundaberg from 21st September to the 25th September where he can hopefully ride in Junior Elite men for the first time.

there will be other meets we will get to but these are the ones of his focus at the moment.

anyways after months off the track due to injury im finally able to get to a race meet... this weekend in Rocky i will be riding age and also pro men... keen as for some racing

WAITING GAME

finally getting new rims... old ones are majorly wrecked.  so my hubs are in at Wall to Wall cycles getting 2 new rims and YES ALL new spokes.... waiting waiting cant wait to get back on the bike.  Need to practice for King of Dirt next weekend @ pine rivers...

Back on Track

this week finally i was able to get back on my race bike and actually race bmx again... felt good but my wrist fairly hurt going down the first straight coz its a bit rough atm.. getting some training in this week coz we have a few race meets coming up over the next few weeks.  Been months since i have actually raced a bmx meet.

a week after my accident and i have recovered sweet... just got a bit of a sore wrist still so taking it a little easy

I'M BACK

feeling good today so i thought i would go for a little roll around at the bowl.

Crash

Well 5 days after my crash and my face is healing well but my heads not still got headaches and tiredness so we went off to the hospital last night for a CT scan doctor confirmed THERE IS A BRAIN IN THERE (which my mum was beginning to think there wasnt) and there was no bleeding or bruising so the CT was all clear they say i have POST CONCUSSION so im gona be off bike and school for a least a few more days yet (that sucks)

GOOD Friday turned out NOT SO GOOD for me

 late good friday arvo i went to the bowl in bundy for a little ride but it didnt turn out so well for me... i dont recall what i did all i know is what i was told by the boys there with me... thanks guys for calling ambo and my mum for me :)

lucky for me there is no permanent or bone damage.. just a hell of a swollen and bloody face. oh and i chipped a bone in the wrist that i just had the cast taken off a week ago.

 This is my first actual comp at a park, i rode in the 15yrs and under and i still had my cast on.  felt pretty good and managed to bring home a WIN.
